Just an example of things you may see in the Mountain Air Batik booth this summer(2011).
The first photo is of one 3x4 foot cotton wall hanging that is inspired by many of the Maya temple sites that I have been to. I chose it to show you all that each batik is first drawn by hand before any of the waxing and dying is done. The second photo is a few of the finished batiks that are waiting for a date with the iron and or sewing machine. Both photos are of original batik tapestries created by Mountain Air Batik. We take great pride in what we do and look forward to sharing them and new t shirt deigns(too!!!)with you all this summer. Thank you for looking!
